Overview

Hydroxycut had their hand slapped by the Food and Drug Administration in May of 2009. There were several complaints of liver problems in dieters who were using the Hydroxycut products. The well-known diet pill company chose to voluntarily recall many of their products which lead to a huge gap in the market and a huge dent in their brand name.

Now Hydroxycut is back with the Thermogenic Hydroxycut Advanced. Is this product as effective as previous Hydroxycut products? Is it safe to take?

The Ingredients

Hydroxycut Advanced Proprietary Blend

Hydroxagen: Goji Extract, Acerola concentrate, Blueberry concentrate, Pomegranate and Zeaxanthin.

HydroxyPlus: Caffeine anhydrous (1,3,7-trimethylxanthine) Supplying 200 mg of caffeine and Bilberry extract.

The Features

The new Thermogenic Hydroxycut Advanced contains only a few ingredients with caffeine being the stronger fat burning ingredient added. As a matter of fact, aside from caffeine, there are NO fat burning ingredients in the Thermogenic Hydroxycut Advanced.

The “Advanced” portion of the product name clearly pushes the antioxidant benefits of the ingredients. But, antioxidants can do very little to increase weight loss. There is some debate that improving overall health by curbing free radical control over the cells can cause weight loss. But, the amount lost will be minimal, at best.

Thermogenic Hydroxycut Advanced is nothing more than a caffeine pill. The product literature claims the main ingredient has been scientifically researched and that is not a lie. Caffeine will increase heart rate and boost metabolism, but why pay $37 USD for a product that contains as much caffeine as two cups of coffee per serving (200 mg)?

The Worst

• Overpriced.
• Not equivalent to the Hydroxycut products of old.
• Website lacks real information.
• No positive online reviews could be found.
• The only fat burning ingredient is caffeine.

Final Thoughts

Sorry Hydroxycut but dieters should skip this product. There is no similarity to the new Thermogenic Hydroxycut Advanced to any of the Hydroxycut products of old. The price, however, is the same. The dieter could get the same benefit from an energy drink and a fruit juice and pay far less money.
